SIZES

M (L, XL, XXL)

Finished chest measurement: 40" (44, 48, 52"). (101.5cm, 112, 122, 132) 

MATERIALS
Caron International's Simply Soft (100% acrylic; 6 oz/170 g, 315 yds/288 m): 5(5, 6, 6) skeins
Color of your choice. 
GAUGE
Using keyplate in patt (St st): 18 sts & 26 rows = 4"/10cm.
NOTES
Number of needles to knit pullover: 90
(100, 108, 118).
BACK
COR. Using the open edge cast on method and WY, CO 90
(100, 108, 118) sts.  K6R.  Break off.  Join MY. K 92 R total.
Shape Armhole
BO 5 (5, 5, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows.  Dec 1 st each end on next and every alt R 8 (10, 12, 13)x total – 64 (70, 74, 80) sts rem. Knit until 148 (154, 160, 166) R total.
Shape Shoulders & NeckThere is no knitting in this section, only removal of stitches in three sections.  Remove center 26 (28, 30, 32) sts on WY. Pull ndls on LHS up to HP.  Remove RHS sts onto WY.  Work LHS: Push LHS ndls back into FWP, complete as RHS.
Ribbing
COL.  Bring forward 85 (93, 103, 11) ndls to HP and pick up as many sts along first R MY dec 5 (7, 5, 7) sts evenly spaced.  With MY, K14R.  Beg with 2nd st, drop and latch up every other st to form 1x1 rib.  BO in backstitch.
FRONT
Work as for Back to armhole.  Remove all sts to LHS of ‘O’ onto WY.
Shape Armhole & NeckBO 5 (5, 5, 6) sts at beg of next row.  K1R.  Work dec at armhole edge as for Back and at the same time shape neck as follows: *K7R dec 1 st at neck edge on 1st and 5th row. Rep from * until 19 (21, 22, 24) sts rem.  Knit until 148 (154, 160, 166) R total.  Remove sts on WY.  Work LHS: Place LHS sts back onto ndls.  Complete as RHS reversing all shapings.
Ribbing
Work as for Back.
SLEEVES
COR.  Using the open edge cast on method and WY, CO 44 (48, 54, 58) sts.  K6R.  Break off.  Join MY.  Knit, inc 1 st each end of 5th and every following 7th R 12 (13, 14, 15)x total – 68 (74, 82, 88) sts.  Knit until 90 (98, 104, 110) R total.
Shape Armhole
COR.  BO 5 (5, 5, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows.  Dec 1 st each end on next and every alt R 15 (18, 20, 24)x total – 28 (28, 32, 28) sts rem.  Dec 1 st each end every R 7 (7, 9, 7)x total.  BO rem 14 sts.
Ribbing
COL.  Bring forward 39 (43, 49, 53) ndls to HP and pick up as many sts along first R MY, dec 5 sts evenly spaced.  With MY, K14R.  Convert to 1x1 rib.  BO in backstitch.

NECKBAND

Sew left shoulder seam.

Right Edge

COL.  Bring forward 43 (47, 51, 55) ndls to HP.  With WS fcing, pick up as many sts along right neck edge.  K6R decreasing 1 st at center ‘V’ edge every R.  Convert to 1x1 rib.  BO in backstitch.

Left Edge

COL.  Bring forward 69 ( 75, 81, 87) nndls to HP.  With WS facing, pick up as many sts as follows:  26 ( 28, 30, 32) sts along back of neck, and 43 (47, 51, 55) sts along left neck edge.  Work as for right edge reversing ‘V’ shaping.
FINISHING
Sew right shoulder, neckband seam and ‘V’.  Sew in sleeves.  Sew side and sleeve seams.
