- Beg Garter st; K 4 R.
- Beg Fair Isle from Chart; work Rows 1 – 20. Cut B.
- Change to Garter st; using C only, K 4 R. RC=028.
- Change to Texture st and A; work to RC=064 (066, 068, 066, 064).
- Shape Armholes: BO 7 (7, 7, 8, 8) sts at beg of next 2 R—73 (81, 89, 95, 103) sts rem.
- Cont in Texture st, work to RC=120 (126, 132, 132, 132).
- Remove center 41 (43, 45, 45, 47) sts to WY for Back neck—16 (19, 22, 25, 28) sts rem ea side for shoulders.
- Remove shoulder sts to WY.
RIGHT FRONT
- Using Chain CO Method and B, CO 43 (47, 51, 56, 59) sts. COR. RC=000.
- Work as for Back to Armhole.
- Shape Armhole: Dec at RH side as for Back—36 (40, 44, 48, 51) sts. Work to RC=097 (102, 108, 108, 108).
- Shape Neck: COR. At LH side, remove 13 (14, 14, 15, 15) sts to WY.
- Dec 1 st at neck edge every row 7 (7, 8, 8, 8) times—16 (19, 22, 25, 28) sts rem.
- Work to RC=120 (126, 132, 132, 132).
- Remove shoulder sts to WY.
LEFT FRONT
Work as for Right Front, reversing all shaping.
SLEEVES
- Join shoulder seams.
- With WS facing, hang armhole opening onto 83 (87, 91, 95, 99) ndls. COR. RC=000.
- Using A, K 2 R.
- Beg Texture st; work 10 R.
- Shape Sleeve: Dec 1 st ea side every 5 (5, 4, 4, 4) R, 5 (1, 10, 8, 5) times, then every 4 (4, 3, 3, 3) R, 8 (13, 5, 8, 12) times—57 (59, 61, 63, 65) sts rem.
- Work even to RC=072.
- Beg Garter st; work 4 R using B, 4 R using C and 4 R using B, pulling down slightly on last row to lengthen sts. RC=084.
- Bind off (Chain st).
NECK EDGING
- With WS facing, doubling approx every 7th st as necessary, hang neckline onto 98 (100, 102, 106, 108) ndls—13 (14, 14, 15, 15) sts from right Front WY, 22 sts from right Front neck edge, 41 (43, 45, 45, 47) sts from Back neck WY, 22 sts from left Front neck edge and 13 (14, 14, 15, 15) sts from left Front WY. COR.
- Join B, beg Garter st; work 4 R, pulling down slightly on last row to lengthen sts.
- Bind off (Chain st)
FRONT BANDS
- Right Front Band: With WS facing, hang right Front edge onto 70 (74, 78, 78, 78) ndls. COR. RC=000.
- Join B, beg Garter st; work 4 R, pulling down slightly on last row to lengthen stitches.
- Starting from left side, bind off (Chain st) all but 19 RH side sts. Hang last st to make 20 RH side sts.
- Buttonholes: Starting from RH side, transfer sts from 3rd, 8th, 13th and 18th ndls to ndls on left. Put empty ndls in FWP.
- Cont in Garter st, work 4 R, pulling down slightly on last row to lengthen sts. RC=008
- Bind off (Chain st)
- Left Front Band: Work as right Front band, beg with COL; do NOT work buttonholes.
FINISHING
- Sew side and underarm seams.
- Weave in ends.
- Sew on buttons opposite buttonholes.
- Steam lightly and block to measurements.
