Rolled-Edge Pullovers for the Family 
Perfect for those casual weekends and fun at the park, these sweaters are designed to be the fastest to knit of any sweaters yet with no ribbing whatsoever.  The Color Block version is written for children only.  The Solid Color version is written for making up to a size 52" finished sweater measurement.  Pattern is written for #2 and # 3 keyplate.

TECHNIQUEChild’s sweater: Intarsia.
TENSION
Using Classic/ISM keyplate 2 dot or Elite keyplate 7 in patt (St st): 18sts & 26 rows = 4"/10 cm.
Using Classic/ISM keyplate 3 or 3 dot andWorsted in patt (St st): 16 sts & 24 rows = 4"/10 cm.

NOTES
Helpful: Intarsia keyplate.
Number of needles to knit Pullover: 64 (76) [90 (100, 108, 118)].
Sts and rows for Worsted are shown in brackets [ ].
Refer to instructional video to learn intarsia technique.
Use separate balls of yarn for each section of color and twist yarns tog on every row where colors join to link sts together and avoid holes.


CHILD’S PULLOVER(Color-Block Version)
BACK
Keep to Intarsia pattern throughout.  COR.  Using the closed edge cast on method and Color 1, CO 32 (38) [28 (34)] sts, then with Color 2, CO 32 (38) [28 (34)] sts – 64 (76) [56 (68)] sts total.  K6R.  Mark for hem.  K 46 (54) [42 (50)] R total.  Mark for underarm.
Break yarn and reverse colors.  K 42 (48) [38 (44)] more R.  You have knit 88 (102) [80 (94)] R total.
Shape Shoulders & NeckCOR.  Place all sts left of ‘0’ and 12 (14) [10 (12)] sts right of ‘0’ in HP.  K1R.  COL.  Pull far right 10 (12) [9 (11)] shoulder sts to HP.  K1R, wrap, knit back.  COL.  Push all shoulder sts to FWP (making sure latches are open).  K1R over all working sts.  Remove onto WY.  Bring all neck sts to the right of ‘0’ to FWP.  K1R in applicable color.  Remove onto WY.  Work LHS: Push LHS ndls back into FWP.  Using applicable color, complete as RHS reversing shaping.
FRONT
COR. Using the closed edge cast-on method and Color 2, CO 32 (38) [28 (34)] sts, then with Color 1, CO 32 (38) [28 (34)] sts – 64 (76) [56 (68)] sts total.  Work same as for Back to R76 (90) [68 (82)].
Shape Neck
COR.  Place all sts left of ‘0’ and 6 (8) [4 (6)] sts right of ‘0’ in HP.  K2R.  COR.  (Pull 2 sts at neck edge to HP, K1R, wrap, knit back) 2x.  (Pull 1 st at neck edge to HP, K1R, wrap, knit back) 2x.  Knit until 89 (103) [81 (95)] R total.  COL.
Shape Shoulders
Pull far right 10 (12) [9 (11)] shoulder sts to HP.  K1R, wrap, knit back.  Push all shoulder sts back to FWP.  K1R over all working sts.  Remove onto WY.  Bring all neck sts to the right of ‘0’ to FWP.  K1R in applicable color.  Remove on WY.  Work LHS: Push LHS ndls back into FWP.  Using applicable color complete as RHS reversing shaping.
RIGHT SLEEVE
COR.  Using closed edge cast-on method and Color 1, CO 64 (76) [56 (68)] sts.  K6R.  Dec 1 st each end every 4 R 8 (12) [10 (12)]x, then every 3 R 10 (8) [6 (6)]x changing to Color 2 on R 34 (40) [32 (36)].  Knit until 68 (78) [64 (72)]R total – 28 (36) [24 (32)] sts rem.  Mark for cuff.  K6R.  BO loosely.
LEFT SLEEVE
Work as for Right sleeve reversing colors.
NECK BANDJoin right shoulder seam.  Bring forward 70 (76) [62 (68)] ndls to HP.  With WS facing, pick up as many sts around neck edge.  K6R in applicable colors.  BO loosely.  Go to Finishing below.

BACK
COR.  Using the closed edge cast-on method and MY, CO 90 (100, 108, 118) [80 (88, 96, 104)] sts.  K 6 (6, 10, 10) [6 (6, 1.0, 10)] R.  Mark for hem.  K98 (98, 104, 110) [90 (90, 96, 102)] R.  Mark for underarm.  K 52 (58, 66, 72) [48 (54, 60, 66)] more R.  You have knit 150 (156, 170, 182) [138 (144,156,168)] R total.
Shape Shoulders & NeckCOR.  Remove center 28 (30, 32, 34)  [[24 (26, 28, 30)] sts onto WY.  Pull ndls on LHS up to HP.  K1R.  COL.  Pull far right 15 (17, 19, 21) [14 (15, 17, 18)] shoulders sts HP.  K1R, wrap, knit back.  Push all shoulder sts back to FWP.  K1R.  COR.  Remove onto WY.  Work LHS: Push LHS ndls back into FWP, complete as RHS reversing shaping.
FRONT
Work same as for Back to R 136 (142, 154, 166) [124 (130, 140, 152)].
Shape NeckCOR. Remove center 14 (16, 16, 18) [10 (12, 12, 14)] sts onto WY.  Pull ndls on LHS up to HP.  K2R.  At neck edge, pull 3 sts to HP, K1R, wrap, knit back.  Pull 2 sts to HP, K1R, wrap, knit back.  (Pull 1 st to HP, K1R, wrap, knit back) 2 [3]x.  K5P.
Shape Shoulders
COL. Pull far right 15 (17, 19, 21) [14 (15, 17, 18)] shoulder sts to HP.  K1R, wrap, knit back.  Push all shoulder sts back to FWP.  K1R.  COR.  Remove onto WY.  Work LHS:  Push LHS ndls back into FWP, complete as RHS reversing shaping.
SLEEVES
COR.  Using closed edge cast-on method, CO 72 (80, 90, 98) [64 (72, 80, 88)] sts.  Dec 1 st every 4 R 8 (11, 21, 28) [6 (9, 17, 23)]x, then every 6 R 10 (10, 4, 0) [10 (10, 5, 2)]x - 36 (38, 40, 42)  [32 (34, 36, 38)] sts rem.  Knit until 92 (104, 108, 112) [84 (96, 98, 104)] R total.  Mark for cuff.  K 6 (6, 10, 10) R.  BO loosely.
NECKBAND
Join right shoulder seam.  Bring forward 81 (81, 85, 85) [72 (72, 76, 76)] ndls to HP.  With WS facing, pick up as many sts around neck edge.  K 7 [8] R.  BO in backstitch.
FINISHING
Join left shoulder seam.  Sew in sleeves.  Sew neckband, side and sleeve seams to markers, reverse seaming for rolled cuffs and hem.
