Using the closed edge cast on method and A, CO 40 sts. K40 R, ending with COR. Change to C and K 46 R, ending with COR. Using the intarsia technique, K the 116 R of Chart 1. K 46 R using C. K 40 R using A. BO.

Edge Panels (Make 2)Using closed edge cast on method and B, CO 28 sts. Use the seam-as-you-go technique throughout. K 40 R. Change to A and K 208 R. Change to B and K 40 R. BO.
To Make Up
Turn under a 1 1/4" (3cm) hem around all four edges. Using the Magicord/Bond Cord Maker, make sufficient cording to apply as in Chart 2, Sew cording to afghan using a matching sewing thread and slab-stitch, keeping the stitch line even.
