GAUGE
In Stockinette stitch, using a #2.5 keyplate: 17 sts and 22 rows = 4”/10 cm

NEEDLES REQUIRED 127

BLANKET
SCALLOPED EDGE (make 2)
- Using closed CO Method, CO 127 sts and follow technique instructions to complete edge. (NOTE: Reforming sts on 2nd row is optional for this design.) RC=012. K 2 R. Leave extra long tail for attaching to body of blanket.
- Change to WY and work 6 R. Remove from machine.
BODY
- Using open CO Method and WY, CO 127 sts. K 6 R. COR. RC=000. Change to MY.
Eyelet stitch side edging: K 2 R. Work eyelet sts by moving 3rd st to 4th ndl (2 sts on one ndl) on ea side on completed row and then every foll 4 rows. (NOTE: Put empty ndl in FWP before working row.) Cont with eyelets and K to RC=168. - Change to WY and work 6 R. Remove from machine.
- Turn piece so knit side is facing front and rehang. Hang a scalloped edge piece on top so that purl side is facing front. COR. K 1 R. BO back stitch.
- Repeat for opposite end.
* Alternate blanket method: Make scalloped edge and body of blanket in one piece, ending with WY. Make second scalloped edge to attach by grafting.
FINISHING
- Weave in ends.
- Block to measurements.
Cut 4 ribbons and weave in and out of eyelets along top, bottom and sides of blanket, following picture. Secure ribbon ends with sewing needle and thread.
