MATERIALS
3 (3, 4) 170g/6-oz skeins of Caron International’s Simply Soft (100% Acrylic ) in #9727 Black (MC);
1 175-oz ball of Caron International’s Glimmer (85% Acrylic, 15% Polyester) in #0019, Charcoal (CC);
Size G-6 (4.25mm) crochet hook. 
GAUGE
18 sts and 23 rows = 4” in St st using KP2 and MC
NUMBER OF USM NEEDLES REQUIRED
80 (88, 98)
FRONT & BACK
  1. Using KP2, CO 80 (88, 98) sts in WY using open edge method. Work 6 rows.  
  2. Hem:  Change to MC and work 13 rows.  Remove work onto WY.  
  3. Bring forward 66 (72, 80) needles and re-hang stitches, decreasing 14 (16, 18) across.  Bring ndls into FWP.
  4. Change to CC, work 8 rows.  Remove onto WY.  Bring forward 79 (87, 97) needles to HP.  Hang on sts from last row CC, increasing 13 (15, 17) sts across.  
  5. Hang hem by hanging 1st row of MC onto ndls and work 1 row in MC with KP4. 
  6. Change to KP2 and reset RC to 000.  Inc 1 st on next row and cont working until RC = 074 (078, 068). 
  7. Shape Waist:  Dec 1 st each end of next row, then every foll 3rd row 9 times – 60 (68, 78) sts.  Work even for 5 (7, 13) rows.  Inc 1 st each end of next row, then every foll 5 (4, 5) rows 6 (7, 6) times.  Work even for 10 (10, 12) rows – 74 (84, 92) sts. RC = 148 (152, 152).  
  8. Shape Armhole:  BO 4 (4, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows.  Dec 1 st each end of EOR 3 (7, 8) times.  Cont until RC = 172 (176, 176) - 60 (62, 66) sts.
  9. Shape Neck:  BO center 28 sts – 16 (17, 19) sts each side.
  10. Put LH ndls in HP.  Dec 1 st at neck edge ER 10 (11, 12) times – 6 (6, 7) sts.  Work until RC = 200 (206, 206).
  11. BO rem sts. 
  12. Work left neck as for right neck, rev shapings.
FINISHING
  1. Block to finished dimensions.
  2. Sew shoulder and side seams.
  3. Weave in all loose ends.
  4. With CC, work one row sc around armholes and neckline.
