Caron International’s Simply Soft® Collection (100% Acrylic, 6oz/170g, 315yds/288m): Shown in #0011 Celestial (MC) 6 (8, 10) oz/170 (227, 283) g, #0003 Pistachio (A) 2 (2, 2) oz/57 (57, 57) g and #0016 Melon (B) 4 (4, 4) oz/113 (113, 113) g

KEY PLATE
USM/ISM KP#2.5 or appropriate tension to obtain gauge
Suitable for USM/ISM/Bond Classic or 6.5 to 9 mm knitting machine

WY
GAUGE
In Stockinette stitch with KP #2.5, 17 sts and 22 rows = 4”/10 cm
KNIT STITCHES USED
Stockinette stitch (St st) NEEDLES REQUIRED 56 (60, 64) PULLOVER


BACK
Using MC and closed CO method, CO 56 (60, 64) sts. Leave long tail end for seaming. COR. RC=000.
Armhole: K to RC=050 (052, 058). Mark both sides for armhole.
K to RC=078 (088, 098).

Neckline and Shoulders: Put center 24 (26, 26) sts on WY. BO or put 16 (17, 19) sts on WY on ea side for shoulder seams.

FRONT
Using MC and closed CO method, CO 56 (60, 64) sts. Leave long tail end for seaming.
COR. RC=000.
Armhole: K to RC=050 (052, 058). Mark both sides for armhole.
K to RC=066 (076, 086).
Neckline and Shoulders: Put center 10 (12, 12) sts on WY - 23 (24, 26) sts ea side. COR. Put LH ndls in HP and shape right neck. Dec 1 st at neck edge ER 7 times - 16 (17, 19) sts. Work 5 R even. RC=078 (088, 098).
BO or put sts on WY.
With COL, shape left neck in same way.


COLLAR
Sew right shoulder seam.
Bring 56 (60, 60) sts into HP. With WS facing, rehang 24 (26, 26) sts from Back neck holder, 11 (11, 11) sts from right Front neck edge, 10 (12, 12) sts from Front neck holder and 11 (11, 11) sts from left Front neck edge. Put all ndles in FWP with latches open. COR. RC=000. Using MC, K 2 R.
Change to B and K to RC=009.
BO loosely.


SLEEVES
Sew rem shoulder seam.
Bring 54 (58, 64) ndls into HP and hang right armhole edge between markers with WS facing. Using A, work first row manually.
COL. RC=001. Dec 1 st ea side every 8 (9, 8) rows 6 (6, 8) times - 42 (46, 48) sts.
K to RC=057 (065, 071).
BO loosely, leaving long tail end for seaming.
Using B, work second sleeve in same manner.


SOLID POCKET (make 1)
Using MC and closed CO method, CO 19 sts. COR. RC=000. K to RC=029.
BO loosely.


STRIPED POCKETS (make 2)
Using B and closed CO method, CO 19 sts. COR. RC=000. K 4 R. (Carry this color only up side as you work.)
Change to A and K 4 R.
Change to B and K 4 R.

Change to MC and K 4 R. Change to B and K to RC=029. BO loosely.

FINISHING
Using needle and contrasting thread, measure and mark placement of pockets on one sleeve and on front. These can be placed where desired. Sample has solid pocket centered and approx 3" from sleeve bottom. Front pockets are approx 1" from side seams and 3" from bottom edge. One row of sts on ea side is allowed to turn under for selvage.
Using needle and matching thread, tack pockets in place allowing top edges to roll naturally. Remove marking threads.
Using long tail ends, seam sides and sleeves. NOTE: Bottom of seams should be on knit side for 6-8 rows to be hidden.

Finish collar so it rolls naturally to front with a hidden seam. Weave in ends.
