Ultimate Sweater Machine®
Caron® Jewel Box™
16% polyester; 2.5oz./70.9g, 100yds/92m): 2 skeins in #0018 Garnet;
USM/ISM KP# 3;
latch tool, WY
Suitable for USM/ISM/Bond Classic or 6.5 to 9 mm knitting machine
GAUGE:
Using USM/ISM KP# 3 or appropriate tension setting, in Rib st with MY: 12 sts and 25 rows = 4”/10cm. 
NEEDLES REQUIRED: 25

STITCH USED:
Rib Pattern (odd number of sts)
1. Beg LHS, skip 1 ndl, drop st from next ndl, unravel to beg.
2. Using latch tool, convert to knit by latching up 2 strands at a time.
Rep Steps 1 and 2 on EOS across for Rib patt.

NECK WRAP
1. Using open-edge cast on method and MY, CO 16 sts LHS -0-, 9 sts RHS -0-. 25 sts. RC=000.
2. K to RC=137. COL.
3. Remove 9 sts RHS -0- to WY. 16 ndls LHS in WP. Reset RC=000.
4. Inc 1 st RHS -0-. 17 sts.
5. K to RC=017. Break yarn.
6. Remove sts to WY.
7. Pull forward 9 ndls RHS -0-.
8. Rehang 9 sts from WY. Reset RC=000. COL.
9. Join yarn, K to RC=017. COR. Reset RC=000.
10. Pull forward 16 ndls LHS -0-.
11. Rehang 17 sts from WY, placing last st on RHS ndl 1 [2 sts on this ndl. 1 st dec.] 25 sts.
12. K to RC=188.
13. Convert EOS for Rib patt.
14. BO.
Weave in ends.

  1. Hi, Kathy. Thank you for keeping the Bond site alive, I use it a lot.

    On this pattern, the Jewel Box Neck Wrap, I'm stuck. I followed your pattern precisely; with the carriage on the correct side and the correct number of needles on the correct numbers on the bed.

    When I unlatched the stitch (for ribbing) nearest the keyhole, that stitch won't unlatch. I started my ribbing from the left and skipped the first stitch and ribbed the stitch number 2. Any suggestions? And Merry Christmas! - Pet
